Frocks on Bikes events for November and December

Calling SONIC-CYCLING participants for the week of Sunday November 24 – 30.
This is an open invitation from Phil Dadson, artist and musician, to anyone interested in the formation of a short-term community bicycle-choir. Rehearsals, 24th-27th November: Sunday 7pm, Monday 8pm, Tuesday 7pm, Wed 7pm Performances, 28th-30th November: Thursday, Friday Saturday all at 7pm.
Meet at 101 New Brighton Mall. If raining on rehearsal nights, meet at Antidote, 6 Carnaby Lane, off New Brighton Mall. If raining on performance nights the event will be postponed until the following evening. http://teza.org.nz/the-bicycle-choir/ for more details.

Sunday 8th December is Santa Parade time: we congregate at 1.30 pm Wharanui Road, Riccarton (exact position to be announced) with the parade starting at 2pm.
Frocks on Bikes are again combining with Spokes. Our theme is pretty loose- retro chic for the ladies and Vikings for the men has been mooted, but really anything goes. The idea is to look fun and interesting: muppets, fairy tale characters, aliens and Christmas pixies etc all acceptable. I believe that the organizers do not want Santa Clauses, ‘cos the “real” one brings up the rear of the parade and fakes santas may confuse the kiddies. Please RSVP to Nigel at nigel.rushton@gmail.com or give him a bell 3772820. Did I say bell? Bring them along on the 8th – with hooters and drums and whistles! All cycle savvy young ones are most welcome.
After the parade we’ll adjourn to the Rose Gardens in Hagley Park (near hospital) for a picnic afternoon tea. It’s our shout but if you want to bring something to share, please do!
