Our March ride is to the Culture Galore event in Ray Blank Park, Ilam
Start time: 12 pm, Saturday 8 March.
Return around 4 pm.
Meet: outside Canterbury Museum on Rolleston Ave
This ride takes in some of the prettiest separated cycling Christchurch has to offer: through Hagley Park, along Matai St and past Riccarton House and continues on the roads to University Drive and on to Ray Blank Park in Ilam. This is not a difficult ride and children are very welcome on this ride, but need to be cyclewise and under the supervision of a responsible adult.
We will spend about 1 ½ hours sampling some of the ethnic food and drink and enjoying some of all the entertainment on offer before we head back to the museum.
For those who don’t have the energy to cycle back, there is the option of trying out one of the handy bus bike racks (bus 3, 21, 23 and O) all pass near Ray Blank Park in Ilam.
Dress thme: As usual this is optional, but in the spirit of Culture Galore it would be great to see something Cultural or Ethnic. Like flags, flowers, clogs, jandals, french dress or a national costume if you have one 😉 But most importantly COME JOIN US!
Please contact Connie on 021 0277 9250 if you have any queries relating to this ride.
