May 10 Art Tour

Hello Frockers!

This time last year we did a street art tour. As there is a whole new collection of fantastic and beautiful Street Art murals, we’re doing a repeat performance! Start: Sunday 10 May, 1 pm
Finish: around 3 pm.
Meeting place: Recycle A Dunger (RAD), cnr Tuam/High/Poplar st, Christchurch – opposite C1 Espresso.

Dress theme: As usual this is optional, but in the spirit of Street Art it would be great to see Something Arty…. Get those colourful stockings on, joosh up your helmet and let your artistic ideas come to life. But most importantly COME JOIN US!

This ride will take us past 15-20 murals. About half way through we’ll spend 20-30 minutes visiting the free SPECTRUM exhibition at YMCA on Hereford St (remember your bike lock), before we continue on to RAD for a social bike chat and a well earned coffee at C1 to finish. Approximate cycle route (5.5km):
This ride is open for all and is along relatively quiet Sunday city centre streets. Children are very welcome, but need to be cyclewise and under the supervision of a responsible adult. If you are new to cycling or not confident riding through intersections, please let us know before we head off.

Should any of you have interesting knowledge about some of the Street Art/artists, we would love to hear from you. You can help be tour guides! 😉

Please contact Connie on 021 0277 9250 if you have any queries/input relating to this ride. If the weather is decidedly nasty on the day this event will not go ahead.

Hope to see you and any frocking friends you can muster for an enjoyable afternoon of central city cycling on Sunday 10 May 😉
