With the longest night fast approaching, being seen is more important than ever. Frocks on Bikes together with Greater Wellington, WCC and Bicycle Junction brings you the brightest night of your social calendar – keep Thursday the 19th June free. Join us at The Sustainability Trust for drinks, nibbles (koha please!) and a range of the flashest, brightest, thoroughly-tested-and-approved lights and reflective gears. No need to layer on the fluoro – we’ll show you something way more effective!
Also on display will be a range of bikes from Bicycle Junction. Always wondered if there’s something to those European style bikes? Wanna bike but got three kids in tow? Keen to bike down the hill, but not back up? The peeps at Bicycle Junction have something for everyone! They’ll bring along latest model Pilens, Schwinns, Brown Jerseys, cargo-bikes, electric bikes and if we ask nicely, maybe even a folding Brompton!
Or try out each others bikes – the courtyard outside the Trust provides us with great space to go for a whirl and figure out what you’re next ride might look like.
You’ll be going home with pockets full of flash prizes (did we mention, there’ll be raffles, discount vouchers and giveaways?) and a wish list of new bikes (who says you can’t have a bike for every occasion?).
Try a bike, get kitted up in lights, ride off into the night and know you’ll be safe, seen and seen in style!
